Seamanship and Rock Climbing Hone Corporate Skillsets Adventure sports is making a shift from physical entertainment to corporate edutainment.
Corporate leaders will be seen unwinding with rock climbing and sailing. Shyam Sundar, events organiser, said, “Sport climbing must be seen as a competitive event, as the country has started emerging as winners in sailing.”
Dairiyam, an explorers group working closely with the Indian Coast Guard as Prakruthi, organises adventure programmes. It will take mixed groups of 16 to 40 budding sailors from corporates and will conduct exercises relevant to change management, crisis and conflict resolution, communication and confidence building, by riding merely on wind power. “Sometimes, we sail from Chennai to Pulicat and camp out on the island, experiencing the thrills of being a castaway,” said Ashok, an NRI entrepreneur.
Another activity that they will be conducting is rock wall climbing. Registrations for taking part in the full day programme or an overnight expedition can be done. Contact 99403 55521 or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
